“Mind boggling selections of industrial sludge, cantankerous percussion, acephalic voices, and tart electro stitched by Mutant Radio Tbilisi’s JD J with a sort of feral modal avant jazz approach for the peerless TTT.

JD J takes TTT’s open-ended remit to heart for a wild, near 2-hour run rolling thru a personal brand of madness in the process. No handrails are provided as the tape swerves and fires at will between all corners of electronic music undergrowth, bursting at the seams with a feral energy but also measured with a judicious, psycho-dub discipline that just about keeps it all in kilter.

The first half unbuckles and sloshes all over the shop with a shearing psychedelic headiness and tumult that takes in scuzzy drones, clanking subaquatic horror themes and barbed machine pulses, and shores up in thee crankiest, sozzled jazz abstraction. His B-side only ups the intensity with lurching post-dubstep illbient forms slathered onto brukken proto-techno from the early depths of FSOL when they were based between Hulme Crescent and Viccy Park, thru to thunderous avant rock assaults and gnashing cyberpunkish crazes, and again lets all hell break loose in a final passage of cyclonic avant-jazz.”
