“The revered digger-pickers behind Efficient Space’s cult comps ‘Sky Girl’ and ‘Ghost Rider’ come together at TTT’s behest for an immaculate hour trawling the depths of DIY grunge, folk, country, and glittering bits that fall between the cracks.
IYKYK, but in case you don’t, and hold a flame for spellbinding compilation/mixtape storytelling, you might want to pounce on this one. For 60 minutes we’re in the presence of masterful ears and their fine sifted collections, spread out in a lilting, melancholic cadence that’s relatively shy of vocals and tends more to the instrumental side of their selections, nonetheless stitched together with a lyrical flow of melodies and subtle toggle of the atmospheric pressure gauge.
Voices are a key part of it, but the overarching instrumental vibe takes precedence as the voices only pepper a waking dream-like procession of hard to identify plucks, strokes and fondles that lull the mind to supine with effortless charm. Limited copies; think quick if you’d like a rare slice of the sublime.”
Thanks Boomkat!
